Gabe Stern joins Baseten to build out our legal foundation.

We're excited to welcome Gabe Stern as General Counsel at Baseten! Gabe has spent his career helping technology companies scale. Most recently, he served as General Counsel at Synthesia, where he led the company's legal and regulatory work as the business became one of the leading AI video platforms. Before Synthesia, Gabe spent 7 years at Slack, joining as the company's first lawyer and eventually serving as General Counsel. During his tenure, he built Slack's legal function from the ground up and helped guide the company through rapid international expansion, multiple financing rounds, its public listing, and its approximately $28 billion acquisition by Salesforce. Along the way, he led work spanning commercial, product, competition, litigation, intellectual property, employment, privacy, and corporate matters. At Baseten, we're creating the infrastructure that powers production AI applications, and we're doing so in an environment that evolves almost daily. We were looking for a leader who understands how to build durable foundations while helping the business move quickly. Gabe has done exactly that throughout his career. We're thrilled to have Gabe on board and excited for what we'll build together.
