Agents League Contest
An AI developer challenge running between June 4 - 14, 2026 with live coding battles, community building, and competition.
Build innovative AI agents for Creative Apps, Reasoning Agents or Enterprise Agents categories. Compete for recognition, network with developers globally, and get feedback from Microsoft product teams. This time, all projects must integrate with at least one of the Microsoft IQ intelligence layer: Foundry IQ, Work IQ, or Fabric IQ.

What's Agents League?
A 10-Day developer competition combining:
- 📽️ Live coding battles - Watch experts compete in real-time on Microsoft Reactor
- 💻 Asynchronous challenges - Build at your own pace
- 💬 Community engagement - Ask questions and get help on Discord
- 🏆 Recognition - Winners earn amazing prizes
Open to everyone - all skill levels welcome! Watch the battles for inspiration, then build one project or compete in all three tracks.
Use AI assisted development with tools like GitHub Copilot in VS Code, the GitHub Copilot CLI, or the GitHub Copilot CLI SDK.

🧠 Microsoft IQ — Required
All submissions must integrate at least one Microsoft IQ intelligence layer:
| IQ Layer | What It Does | |-----------|-------------| | **Foundry IQ** | Agentic knowledge retrieval for AI agents — connects multiple enterprise sources, enforces permissions, and delivers cited, grounded answers to reduce hallucination | | **Work IQ** | The intelligence layer behind Microsoft 365 Copilot — builds memory from emails, meetings, chats, and documents to understand work context, people, and relationships | | **Fabric IQ** | Semantic intelligence layer for Microsoft Fabric — uses ontologies and knowledge graphs to give business meaning to enterprise data, enabling AI agents to reason over real business concepts |
You can use any of the IQs in any track — pick whichever fits your project best.

Projects are evaluated by experts and product teams using this rubric:
- Accuracy & Relevance (20%) — Meets challenge requirements
- Reasoning & Multi-step Thinking (20%) — Clear problem-solving approach
- Creativity & Originality (15%) — Novel ideas or unexpected execution
- User Experience & Presentation (15%) — Clear, polished, demoable
- Reliability & Safety (20%) — Solid patterns, avoids obvious pitfalls
- Community vote (10%) — via the Discord poll available at Agents League Discord
