Global Call for Best Practices on Ethical AI
Call for Best Practices on Ethical AI is Now Open!(Deadline: Friday, May 2, 2025, by midnight IST)
LG AI Research and UNESCO are co-developing a global Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) on AI Ethics to raise awareness of responsible AI development and deployment. The core mission of this initiative is to help policymakers, developers, and stakeholders understand the “why” and “how” of ethical AI.
As part of this global education project, we’re launching a Call for Best Practices on Ethical AI. We’re seeking real-world cases that demonstrate how organizations have implemented ethical principles in AI across sectors — including government, industry, academia, and civil society. By integrating outstanding cases into a MOOC curriculum, we aim to build a comprehensive AI ethics education platform that balances theory and practice — and expand it as a global standard.

Tools, systems, or applications that embody key ethical values like transparency, accountability, privacy, safety, inclusivity, and sustainability. 3. Collaborative models involving multiple stakeholders to address ethical challenges in AI.

The MOOC Project by LG AI Research and UNESCO
AI is already deeply integrated into our everyday lives and work environments — and it is driving unprecedented societal change. As AI continues to advance, it is more important than ever to strike a balanced approach that fosters innovation while ensuring trustworthiness. This is especially true for professionals working in AI, data, and technology, who now need not only technical expertise but also a broader understanding of the social context in which these technologies operate.
The most critical step toward achieving both innovation and trust in AI is structured education in AI ethics. Real transformation begins when AI experts, policymakers, and stakeholders understand why AI ethics matter — and how to put them into practice. To that end, in May 2024, LG AI Research signed a joint agreement with UNESCO during the AI Seoul Summit to co-develop a global MOOC on AI ethics.
The core goal of this initiative is to design an educational framework that supports technological innovation while thoughtfully addressing the societal challenges that may arise along the way.
