Smoother voice conversations and clearer background work
High-impact changes
Direct voice API callers: identify the call to end
POST /api/voice/end now requires a nonempty id or attemptId. This prevents an old request from ending a newer call. Requests without either identity return 400 missing_call_identity; an identity that does not match the active call returns 409 stale_call. This change requires action only from direct API integrations, not users of the bundled browser.
What to do: Retain the id returned by /api/voice/connect, or the attemptId supplied for that connection attempt, and include it in the /api/voice/end JSON body. If you send both, both must match. Do not retry a stale end request without its identity. Ending a call does not stop background work.
Changes
- Voice conversations delegate work to your configured backend while keeping spoken replies in the conversation. Backend progress and answers appear inside their matching Working / Worked for disclosure, including nested work, without grouping unrelated activity.
- Routine history refresh keeps useful content visible without adding a loading row or shifting the page. Voice call transitions, interleaved transcripts and follow-latest scrolling better preserve deliberate scrollback.
- Voice controls retain the exact call or connection attempt they act on. Native delegation, late-input reconciliation, usage reporting and bounded provider-startup diagnostics give clearer results without replaying work or exposing private configuration.
- Shared Settings actions let agents open Settings and prepare AI connection drafts through the same controls as the browser. The supported-services catalog remains read-only; selecting a draft does not save credentials or bypass permissions.
- Bundled app tools return compact action receipts without changing the original arguments used by Work authorization. Saved outcomes, ownership checks and explicit state readback remain available.
