At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Industry Architect for Retail & Consumer Goods, you sit at the intersection of industry strategy, data, AI, and modern enterprise architecture. You will help leading retailers, brands, marketplaces, grocers, restaurants, and consumer goods companies reimagine how they operate, decide, and engage on top of Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud.

Your mission is to turn high-value retail and consumer goods challenges into scalable data and AI solutions: from merchandising, supply chain, and store operations to loyalty, retail media, marketing, customer care, finance, and product content. This role goes beyond commerce alone. You will help shape how customers use Snowflake to power analytics, applications, agentic workflows, and AI-driven decisioning across the full retail value chain.

You will pair deep industry understanding with modern data and AI architecture, partnering with field teams, product, marketing, and customers to shape how Snowflake shows up in Retail & Consumer Goods. You will alsohelp convert emerging Snowflake capabilities into repeatable architectures, demos, assets, and points of view that scale globally. This includes learning and leveraging the broader Snowflake product horizon - especially Snowflake Horizon, Cortex, Snowflake Intelligence, semantic layers, multimodal capabilities, and application patterns - and translating them into retail-relevant solutions where trust, governance, discoverability, and interoperability are core to business value.

Snowflake is actively seeking a Retail & Consumer Goods Industry Architect to join our Field CTO organization.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead strategic customer engagements

Partner with CIOs, CDOs, CTOs, enterprise architects, digital leaders, merchandising leaders, supply chain teams, marketing and loyalty leaders, store operations leaders, and data/AI teams on high-impact initiatives tied to business value.

  • Translate retail and CPG challenges into end-to-end architectures

Turn real industry problems into clear solution patterns and roadmaps, including:

  • demand sensing and replenishment
  • inventory and fulfillment optimization
  • store and field operations
  • loyalty and customer intelligence
  • retail media and monetization
  • pricing, promotion, and assortment
  • customer care and service workflows
  • product, catalog, and content intelligence
  • revenue growth and commercial planning
  • Design agentic and AI-powered business workflows

Help customers move beyond dashboards and isolated models toward named agents, copilots, and decision-support experiences embedded in real workflows across digital and physical channels.

  • Architect the “last mile” experience

Design how business users actually experience Snowflake, including:

  • conversational and natural-language interfaces
  • embedded AI experiences in partner or customer-facing apps
  • governed analytics and semantic layers
  • multimodal workflows that combine structured and unstructured data
  • operational experiences for business, analyst, and technical personas
  • Learn and leverage Snowflake’s broader platform capabilities

Continuously translate Snowflake Horizon, Cortex, Snowflake Intelligence, semantic layers, apps, clean rooms, marketplace, and interoperability capabilities into retail and CPG architectures. In this industry, those capabilities are core because product, inventory, pricing, loyalty, retail media, customer, and partner data must be discoverable, governed, and usable across internal teams, external ecosystems, and AI-driven workflows.

  • Build compelling prototypes and demonstrations

Create hands-on reference implementations that bring the story to life using Snowflake capabilities such as Cortex, Snowflake Intelligence, Cortex Search, Cortex Analyst, semantic models/views, Streamlit, and related ecosystem integrations.

  • Create reusable, field-ready assets

Package your work into repeatable assets the field can use:

  • reference architectures and blueprints
  • workshop kits and persona journeys
  • demo flows and value stories
  • industry playbooks and partner patterns
  • solution points of view and technical narratives
  • Shape Snowflake’s Retail & Consumer Goods point of view

Work with Industry GTM, product marketing, product management, sales, and solution engineering to sharpen Snowflake’s perspective on modern retail and consumer goods architecture, especially as AI becomes embedded into core business workflows.

  • Be the voice of the customer

Surface industry trends, design gaps, and product requirements to help influence Snowflake’s roadmap and improve how our platform supports retail and CPG workloads.

  • Build ecosystem and partner leverage

Collaborate with GSIs, regional SIs, ISVs, data providers, and marketplace participants to define joint solution offerings and accelerate customer value.

  • Enable others and scale your impact

Share your expertise through enablement, customer workshops, blogs, webinars, conferences, and internal best practices so the organization can scale beyond one-off engagements.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Retail and Consumer Goods fluent

You have deep understanding of the retail and/or consumer goods landscape and can speak credibly across multiple domains, not just commerce. You understand the operating model, data landscape, and value drivers behind functions such as merchandising, supply chain, store operations, loyalty, retail media, customer care, and finance.

  • Architect at heart, storyteller by nature

You can simplify complex ideas into clear business and technical narratives, create future-state architectures, and guide both…
