Choruz 0.2.1

Highlights

• Background, device-scoped analysis of real agent traces, attempts and later feedback.
• Fixed evaluation tasks, checkpointed prompt candidate optimization and reviewed application with rollback.
• Prompts-first team evolution: after a used improvement recurs on an independent task, explicitly enabled optimization can evaluate bounded internal teams, their prompts and serial/parallel execution. Only measured improvements are eligible for application; the evaluator stays fixed.
• Device computer-use installation controls, enablement and health checks, including isolated accounts.
• Learning diagnostics and source-window recovery improvements.

Learning and automatic application require explicit configuration and consent. Internal collaborators are tool-free and do not change account identity, device permissions or visible group membership. Installing this release does not automatically enable team evolution for existing agents.

Installation and compatibility

The archives contain five Choruz binaries, migrations and the standalone web application. Node.js 24 and PostgreSQL are external prerequisites for the managed API/pipeline/web deployment. Agent harnesses remain separate installations.

Linux x86_64 uses the Ubuntu 24.04 runtime baseline. It is not a portable glibc 2.32/NAS bundle and does not include PostgreSQL executables. The macOS arm64 build is not Apple-notarized. These are managed-service archives, not the previous self-contained launcher bundle.

Back up PostgreSQL before upgrading: this release adds migrations V052–V057. Keep databases, account credentials, attachments and agent workspaces outside the extracted application directory. Binary rollback does not undo database migrations. See docs/operations/deploy.md in this tag for the managed deployment procedure.

Download the archive for your platform and its .sha256 file, then verify the SHA-256 checksum before extracting. Each archive includes a file manifest and exact source revision. Linux publication is gated by public main CI and extracted-package API, pipeline and web startup acceptance; the macOS archive is verified separately on macOS.
