Kasey Roh Named Silver Winner for Women in AI Leadership; Upstage Earns Bronze for AI Company of the Year San Jose, CA, April 23,2026 – Upstage AI, a leader in document intelligence and large language models (LLM), has been named the winner of two prestigious Stevie Awards in the 24th Annual American Business Awards. Kasey Roh, US CEO of Upstage, received a Silver Stevie for Women in AI Leadership, while the organization as a whole took home a Bronze Stevie for AI Company of the Year. The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.’s premier business awards program. They were created in 2002 to honor and generate public recognition of the achievements and positive contributions of organizations and working professionals worldwide. In short order, the Stevie has become one of the business world's most coveted prizes. The American Business Awards are open to all organizations operating in the U.S.A., and feature a wide variety of categories to recognize achievement in every facet of the workplace. Since entering the U.S. market in early 2025, Upstage has rapidly redefined how the insurance and financial sectors handle unstructured data. The Bronze Stevie for AI Company of the Year recognizes Upstage’s proprietary LLM and OCR stack, which has transformed the industry’s "PDF nightmare" into a high-speed engine capable of processing pages in just 0.6 seconds with 95%+ accuracy. Stevie judges praised the company’s “genuine technical capabilities,” noting: “Upstage isn’t just another startup; they’re building the actual infrastructure that finally makes manual document digging obsolete. Their human-in-the-loop feedback mechanism shows a level of maturity beyond what most AI startups are offering today." The Silver Stevie for Women in AI Leadership celebrates Kasey Roh’s instrumental role in scaling Upstage’s U.S. presence. Under her guidance, Upstage secured $45M in funding with strategic backing from industry giants like AWS and AMD. Roh’s leadership has driven 3x YoY growth and landed Upstage on three prestigious CB Insights lists in 2025: the AI 100, InsurTech 50, and FinTech 100. Judges noted Kasey “demonstrated strong leadership in scaling enterprise AI by successfully expanding Upstage’s presence in the U.S., securing strategic funding, and driving adoption across Fortune 500 clients in highly regulated industries.” Adding that she is a “rising AI leader” with “notable achievements and clear executive impact.” More than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes were submitted this year and over 230 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process that took over three months. “Organizations across the United States continue to set a high standard for innovation and performance,” said Stevie Awards president Maggie Miller. “The breadth and quality of nominations submitted reflect a dynamic environment where organizations are finding new ways to drive growth and make an impact.”
